“Welcome to the weirdest camp site in the world”
UrbanCampsiteAmsterdam was an artproject launched from June-August, in the newest part of the city- Centrumeiland of IJburg, a sand scape surrounded by the IJ lake boasting a view of the island of Pampus and offers visitors the chance to rest their heads, amidst the creativity.
Marrying art and camping, initiators Annette van Driel and Francis Nijenhuis are inviting guests to stay in one of 14 artistic and unusual mobile objects which together form UrbanCampsiteAmsterdam.
I volunteered on this project for 6 weeks, helping out with design (map below) and photography for the Press release.
Here you can capture a glimpse of the campsite through my eyes.
